Polestar 4, an electric performance SUV coupe, is a new addition to Polestar's lineup, situated between Polestar 2 and Polestar 3 in terms of size and price. It boasts a unique design with rear occupant comfort as a key feature, and introduces a new immersive rear occupant experience by eliminating the rear window. Built on Geely Holding's Sustainable Experience Architecture (SEA), the vehicle's dimensions are a 2,999 mm wheelbase, an overall length of 4,839 mm, a width of 2,139 mm, and a height of 1,544 mm. The Polestar 4 also features a standard full-length glass roof with optional electrochromic functionality, and a high-definition screen that replaces the rearview mirror, displaying a live feed from a roof-mounted rear camera.
The Polestar 4 is the fastest production car that the brand has ever developed, with a 0-60 mph sprint in under 3.8 seconds, and a maximum power output of 400 kW (544 hp). Both dual- and single-motor versions are available, featuring a 102 kWh battery fitted to long-range versions. The vehicle has the ability for up to 200 kW DC and 22 kW AC charging and includes bi-directional charging with vehicle-to-load (V2L) capability. Its infotainment system is powered by Android Automotive OS and a 15.4-inch landscape-oriented screen. The vehicle includes nine airbags and an Advanced Driver Assistance System from Mobileye for safety. Production is set to begin in Hangzhou Bay, China, in November 2023, with indicative launch pricing from $60,000 USD.
